How Do I Begin?
- Contact Participating
Contractors or Marketing Representative
for estimated installation costs. Estimates may vary between contractors.
HELCO recommends that customers obtain two or more estimates. For
qualification, solar water heating systems must be installed by HELCO
REWH Program Participating Contractors.
- Fill out HELCO's
Co-Payment Application with the Participating
Contractor. (More than one application may be submitted for you
by different contractors during your selection process.) The Co-Payment
Application is not a contract and does not obligate you to purchase
or install a water heating system. Please note that the Participating
Contractor shall deduct the co-payment amount from the installed
cost of the system.
- Applications
will be provided by your contractor.
- The participating
contractor will contact HELCO to ensure funds are available
for your participation in the program.
- If funds
are available and qualification requirements are met, your participating
contractor will be issued an authorization number required
for participation in the program. (If the contractor does not
receive an authorization number from HELCO, the installation will
not qualify for the REWH Program.)
- Select the Participating
Contractor you wish to have install your system.
- Schedule the
installation of your solar water heating system with your chosen Participating
Contractor. Following the installation, the contractor will notify
HELCO that the system is ready for an inspection.
- When contacted
by an inspector representing HELCO, schedule a time and date for a
post-inspection.
